Wash asparagus, cut off the top third to half off each spear (depending on the size of the stalk), then sprinkle those tops with garlic salt.
Cut your cheese sticks into 24 pieces by slicing them in thirds lengthwise and then slicing those pieces in half.
Place a piece of cheese, a piece of asparagus, and a bit of cherry pepper in the center of each wonton wrapper.
Dab the top corner of the wrapper with a bit of water, roll up diagonally, then just press lightly to seal.
Arrange roll-ups on a sprayed cookie sheet.
Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray and add a bit of shredded Parmesan to the top of each.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, then broil for 3 minutes until nicely browned.
Notes
Although this recipe uses just the tops of the asparagus stalks, you don’t have to waste the rest of your asparagus: Roast it up with a little olive oil, sea salt, & crushed red pepper for an easy side dish.
