Welcome back to Sunday Scratchups 1/3/16. This week let’s round up the top 25 Sunday Scratchups recipes from 2015: Those I have made (or will make) again and again. What are some of your own favorite recipes from the past year?
Breads
You’d think someone who enjoys bread as much as I do would have more bread-ish recipes, right? Alas, homemade bread is not my forte. One of my goals for 2016 is to successfully bake one of the easy bread recipes floating around the Internet — fifth time’s the charm, or something like that!
Breakfasts
Sometimes it’s hard to find time to eat a real breakfast, but… that’s what weekends are for?
Crock Pot
I do use my Crock Pot all the time, but have been repeating a lot of recipes and will have to scratch up some new ones for the New Year! Here are three new favorites from 2015:
Main dishes
Variety is the spice of dinner, and here’s a nice range of favorite new recipes from 2015.
- Seared Ahi Tuna with Chimichurri
- Pulled Pork Enchiladas Verde (low carb or regular)
- Rainbow Salad with Homemade Parmesan Vinaigrette
- Portobello-Arugula Naan Pizza
- Bacon-Wrapped Chicken
- Dairy Free Lemon Garlic Roasted Chicken
- Chipotle Chili
- Italian Pulled Pork
Side dishes
Delicious dinners call for delicious sides — we do eat a lot of easy salads & roasted veggies over here, but sometimes manage to branch out.
- Copycat P.F. Chang’s Spicy Green Beans
- Easy Spicy Curried Chickpeas
- Grilled Cauliflower Steaks
- Cheater Chipotle Cheddar Latkes
- Onion Flowers
Snacks & Desserts
Another goal for 2016 is to rely less on processed snacks and more on make-your-own. (OK, the Snickers PB Bars don’t fully qualify, but they insisted on being in here…)
- Simple Baked Apple Chips
- Four Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookie Snickers Bars
- Dairy Free “Caramel” Popcorn
I’ll again be making something new each week in 2016 around grocery deals + stockpile items, so stay tuned to Sunday Scratchups for more easy and affordable recipes! You can eat well and enjoy variety on a budget if you shop the sales, with the occasional splurge or date night dinner thrown into the mix. 🙂

My family JUST asked for this yesterday. Why do I always forget that one? That and the PF Chang green beans are delish! I love the pulled pork recipe in the crockpot. I have made it twice and planning on making it again this week. We go back to school next week so I want to stock up on quick dinners in the freezer. Thanks for all of the recipes Rachel. I pray your 2016 will be filled with blessing! Shalom!

Ooh yum! That wasn't last year so not a contender, lol, but one of those I keep forgetting to make again -- not sure why because it IS good.

By far my family's favorite recipe from 2015 was the Bee-Bim-Bop recipe you posted from the children's book. We have gotten a lot of mileage out of that one, thank you so much!
