A Hotter Shoes Review for You
Nice shoes! (Don’t you think? 🙂 ) I recently had the opportunity to review a couple of the new spring/summer styles from Hotter Shoes, which provide such a lovely blend of style + comfort — and with good attention to detail, such as in the leather trim on the grey floral Mabel classic canvas sneakers I’m so casually sporting above.
Read on for my full Hotter Shoes review — and scroll down for a giveaway for you!
I tried out both the Hotter Mabel canvas shoes and their Mae sporty sandals, so let me tell you a bit more about both styles. You’ll see some of that same attention to detail in the multitude of adjustable straps on these Mae Sandals (shown here in salmon).
I was so pleased to find that both of the top straps as well as the back strap on these Hotter sandals were adjustable, because one of my feet is slightly larger than the other and I often have trouble with sandals rubbing uncomfortably on the top of my foot. (If you look closely, you can see above that I have the top strap on my right foot adjusted a little more loosely than the strap on the left, making this particular pair of sandals fit me perfectly.)
I will note that, while the Mae sandals seem to be very true to size (helped out by their super adjustability), the Mabel canvas shoes do seem to run about half a size big; I probably could have sized down just a bit. Read the reviews on the Hotter site to help determine fit, since some of the reviews on this particular shoe also mention it running wide.
Despite this, though, the Mabel is an amazingly comfortable, lightweight shoe with good support, and breathe so well that they are a good summer option when you’re not feeling sandals. You can easily run around in these all day, and even Bad Kitty Lucy approves. 😉 The neutral print is also so cheerful without being overwhelming, and so cute to dress either up or down with skinny jeans, or even casual skirts! These are a great wear-anywhere casual shoe, and I love the summery yet understated floral design here; it has such a cool retro feel.
And speaking of running around — Hotter’s Mae sandals are my new choice when I’m running out of the door to yoga. They’re easy enough to kick off when I get there (with all of those adjustable straps…), but still cute enough to run errands in after class, with great support. There’s nothing like a comfortable new pair of shoes to help keep you active this summer, right?
These lightweight, breathable sandals go with everything from yoga pants to capris; I’ve been wearing them almost constantly since the weather turned crazy hot here in Chicago and they’ve been just so comfortable, with no rubbing or irritation in the summer heat.
And that’s my Hotter Shoes review…
These two pairs are only a sampling of the style + comfort shoes available from Hotter, so be sure to browse their site to see what else strikes your fancy. Their well-constructed shoes should last you years; I have an older pair of sandals from them that are still going strong after quite a bit of running around.
