What’s up with weird things? Well, I used to post one odd Amazon find each day — just for fun, or to help find unusual or white elephant gifts! Last week, I revived this tradition over on the Mashup Mom Facebook page, where you’ll now find a new weird Amazon post every morning.

Follow me there for new fun finds as they’re posted (and much, much more), or check this weekly roundup here every Sunday. Why? Because we all need help starting the day with a smile lately, right?

Amazon Oddities, week of 1/9/22

What’s weird this week? Oh, so much…

Didn’t you want to wake up to a Nicolas Cage reversible sequin pillow today? (Or, fess up: Don’t you truly want to wake up to it… EVERY MORNING!? muahaha…!

Speaking of pillows: Shrimp kabobs, shrimp Creole, shrimp gumbo, shrimp neck pillow… pan fried, deep fried, stir fried…

These earrings are just a little fishy… But, you’ve got them in the bag! Drop goldfish bag earrings, anyone?

Weird + earrings = weirings? Well, yesterday we did fishy earrings. So today, let’s spark things up with these electrical socket power plug earrings! Variety is the spice of ears, after all.

If you’re not overloaded with options yet, we’ve worked our way over to fine art Friday! Here’s looking at a nice wooden board print of a rooster… in… The Scream?

Now, Saturday’s Amazon weirdness is just a little more practical. How about Pasta Monsters pasta & salad servers? (Here’s looking at you, noodles!)

Last, but not least: Last Sunday, we talked about how you could get your face on a potato. This Sunday, why not step things up a notch by gifting your entire body as a personalized cardboard cutout? Give someone the gift of… flat you.
