ALDI Meal Planning week of 8/14/22 – 8/20/22
Pick up everything on the shopping list below and start cooking on Sunday: As always, six complete dinners for four, $70 out the door.

- I’m assuming that you have on hand some pantry basics like cooking oil, common condiments, and spices. Read through the recipes before you shop, to make sure that you have the necessary pantry staples on hand for this week’s ALDI menu plan. *** The printable shopping list includes a separate section of needed basics for the week.
Six easy dinners from ALDI for $70
ALDI Meal Plan — start cooking 8/14/22
Sunday
- Paprika pork chop sandwiches on Parmesan garlic bread
- Cut up the cantaloupe
Monday
Tuesday
- Easy pork & pepper fajitas (use thick cut chops, sliced in half lengthwise before cutting into strips) — served in tortillas & topped with shredded cheddar, diced avocado, any remaining salsa verde after making the rice side dish below, & chopped green onion
- Easy cheesy enchilada rice (substitute 1-1.5 cups of salsa verde to taste, IN PLACE OF the enchilada sauce + green chiles)
- Half of the grapes
Wednesday
- Garlic soy pork with edamame rice
- Honey lime glazed carrots (use whatever butter you have on hand & omit optional parsley topping)
Thursday
- Sausage, peppers, & onions frittata (use your last sweet bell pepper, whatever color it happens to be)
- Toast up the rest of the sourdough on the side
- Also: Cook up a pot of rice and save it for tomorrow’s recipe
Friday
- Edamame mushroom fried rice (omit celery; use extra carrot instead)
- Garlic green beans with soy sauce — Since my stores don’t seem to have fresh right now: Use frozen green beans; start them in the skillet over medium heat until they begin to thaw; increase heat and proceed with the rest of the recipe
- The other half of the grapes
Saturday
- Leftovers, family pizza night (ALDI sells nice big take-and-bake deli pizzas), or order in.

A couple of notes
- I try not to repeat main dish recipes more often than once a month, but you will see favorite easy recipes again in these weekly ALDI meal plans as the same meats and produce items come up again on sale. Part of the fun of meal planning lies in mixing old stand-bys with something new each week.
- If one or more of these recipes isn’t to your taste, or if you have other ingredients to use up, adapt the recipes in this ALDI meal plan to your family’s preferences.
