- If one or more of these recipes isn’t to your taste, or if you have other ingredients to use, adapt the recipes in this ALDI meal plan to your family’s preferences. Or, just use the ideas here to supplement your own meal planning! See: Pantry staples to stock up on and how to modify a meal plan for your family.

Please stop doing so many latinx meals! I love your meal plans, but most weeks you do SO MANY meals consisting of like fajitas, tacos, taco salad, slow cooker mexican meal, etc, etc, etc. My kids are sick of it and even though I love latinx food I am also getting sick of it! Like once a week is good, but literally like 3/5 meals are like that, and then jalepeno grilled cheese? I feel like most kids don't like spicy stuff like that (I do, sure, but I'm trying to feed my whole family). Even the garlic-lime chicken, the lime part is still in line with like mexican style food. Once again I want to reiterate I love Mexican food but it's just too much all of the time...I mean look at your last week's meal plan! and the one before that and so on. It's just getting ridiculous. These meal plans are a life and budget saver, but please do something else! With lots of love, and wishing you all the best.

Thanks for the comments. In way of a bit of explanation, part of this is due to the way ALDI sells items. I made a new recipe last week (the mango salsa chicken). Using this in the meal plan required purchasing limes and jalapeños, both of which ALDI only sells in bags, not individually. This in turn influenced some of the other recipes included in this plan, in order to stay on budget, it made sense to then use limes/jalapeños in other recipes. Rest assured that next week's plan will take a different turn.
When recipes don't work for your family, you might modify them (for instance: Plain grilled cheese for your non-spice-loving kids; jalapeños for the adults), or swap out for something else that night.
Hope that helps.
