ALDI Finds for the week of 4/26/23 include Cinco de Mayo foods, ever-more gardening items, and more. Check out this week’s picks below, and let me know what you want to Find!
Cinco de Mayo is fast approaching, so ALDI is going all out this week. Their churros are always popular; they’re very similar to Taco Bell’s cinnamon twists — but up to $1.49 a bag this year.
Speaking of sweets, these Moser Roth Cinco de Mayo chocolates weren’t listed in the sneak peek ad, but were out on the regular chocolate + candy endcap at my store at (I think), $2.99.
On the salty snacks front, look for On the Border queso flavored tortilla chips, at $2.29 a bag. (Oh, and my local store had their own-brand Clancy’s restaurant style tortilla chips on sale this week for $1.49, as opposed to their now-normal $1.89 price in my area.) To go with: Mateo’s gourmet salsa, $4.32.
While we’re doing name brand salty snacks: How about Tapatío salsa picante mixed nuts, at $4.99 per 12 oz bag.
Stonemill taco cart or street corn 4-in-1 seasoning containers will run you $4.29 apiece this year. (Hence the classy price editing job on last year’s photo, above!)
Moving on, several options await you over in the frozen section. These 17.5 oz bags of Casa Mamita mini tacos, for example, are available in beef or veggie varieties at $5.79 a bag.
The black bean & corn enchiladas don’t look quite right to me, but maybe they taste amazing? These single serve entrees will run you $3.95 a box.
10 oz frozen boxes of shrimp fajita or shrimp taco mix are $4.99 apiece. (Make your own for a better and more cost-effective shrimp-to-veggie ratio, but this is a shortcut option for a busy night.) Additional frozen Finds include:
- Bremer chicken or steak fajita skillets, $6.19
- Fremont Fish Market or Casa Mamita street taco meal kit, $9.99
- Texas Tamale Co. pork tamales 18 oz, $8.48
- Tyson 22 oz fajita grilled chicken strips, $7.99
People have reviewed the tamales favorably in the past, if you’re in the market for frozen pork tamales this week. Lastly, over in the fresh meat section, you can pick up a 2 lb Tyson beef street taco kit for $9.99 or a Smithfield fresh whole boneless pork butt roast at $2.29/lb.
Both advertised and unadvertised ALDI prices can vary by store and by region. Here are more top ALDI Finds for the week of 4/26/23. You may also Find some on 4/23/23 in Sunday ad markets or if your store tends to put products out early.

Twenty-three+ outdoor and gardening Finds
Since we’re firmly in spring now, gardening and outdoor items again comprise most of the non-food Finds section of these week’s ad. Hanging baskets also showed up in my store for $7.99 this week, but looked terrible — hopefully they are in better shape at yours!
They also have Belavi hanging basket stakes for $6.99 — I have the same bird design from a couple of years ago, and just put out this hanging basket on mine (not from ALDI, because: See above).
Other garden & patio items this week include:
- Spring perennials, $6.49
- Belavi 14″ hanging basket, $4.99
- Belavi 3-tier wooden box planter, $39.99
- Belavi 5’x8′ indoor/outdoor area rug, $49.99

- Gardenline berry bush, $5.99
- Gardenline flowering shrub, $9.99
- Gardenline potting mix, $4.99
- Gardenline shade or ornamental tree, $14.99
The box planter should be nice for a deck, patio, or elsewhere you have limited space. I’d stain and weather-seal it again, though.
They always have a decent price on these replacement coco liners!
The berry bushes are small, but if you have the patience to wait a couple years for fruit…

As well as new and returning options for summer grilling. (Or, in recipes: I really like using their jalapeño cheddar sausage in this cheesy smoked sausage & rice skillet, for instance.)
Lastly, the veggie breakfast links are an option for meatless breakfasts.
