Welcome back to Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends: Rain Rain Go Away edition. Seriously. What is even happening here -- do we really need to run through all the plagues this year?

It's really been enough to drive all the cats to... hide in laundry baskets, I guess? Jeremy pops himself into this hamper every time it's empty; I think it lulls him into a false sense of security, because it in no way prevents the other two from attacking him. BKL, on the other hand, is partial to the blue hamper; I think because it brings out the color of her eyes.

But back to rain, rain go away. The Notorious BKL does not at all approve of the sump pump or the noise it makes. She needs to trust us, though: It's better than the alternative! It's a historically rainy May here in Illinois, and it's thunderstorming again as I type.

We fared a lot better than others in the area during the last set of torrential rainstorms (this looks terrible, but didn't make it in the house!), so BKL is just going to have to deal. Her sister Gnocchi, on the other hand doesn't care so much about the sump, but has a fear of thunderstorms -- so, she's currently growling and hiding under the bed.

I won't take a photo of Gnocchi's distress today, so here she is in happier times... putting herself on the chopping block. 🙂
Cats: No concern for their own personal safety.

I will admit, it's overall been a traumatic month for the three bad kitties. Not only is it raining all. the. time, but we're all around all. the. time. Dogs might appreciate this, but cats tend to find this particular arrangement... odd. BKL sometimes wistfully dreams of escape -- and, I think we can all sympathize with that right now.
How's your Caturday going?

How is your own cat-filled (or cat free) week going? BKL does also recognize that there's a certain coziness involved in cocooning at home. And, May showers will bring... summer sunbeams.
Be sure to tune in next time for the latest installment in the exciting ongoing Caturday adventures of the Notorious BKL and Friends.

We are having the same issues. Our Ferals don't appreciate the quality time they seem to be getting 😆, the dogs love it. I do believe here in the South we will be getting your rain for the next week or so. Take care everyone and stay safe. Many Blessings to all.💜🍀

So sorry the cats are not having as much fun as usual. I guess they are in touch with the mood, since life is not normal. I certainly appreciate the pictures, because they sure are cute! Thank you.
