Welcome back to Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends: Judgy Cat Is Judging You Edition. Bad Kitty Lucy’s new favorite thing lately is to sit on top of the fridge and stare at us accusingly. Whatever we happen to be doing at the time? Well, it’s quite clear that we are doing it wrong. I think she also may be judging me here for my smudged refrigerator door… stainless really seemed like a great idea at the time!
While the Notorious BKL prefers perching on the fridge, Bad Kitty Gnocchi enjoys hanging out in Mr. 11’s loft bed. One of her favorite pastimes here is to gradually scoot further and further over, and stretch further and further out, until she manages to take up the entire pillow and force his head off entirely. You wouldn’t think that such a small cat could take up so much space, but it’s first and foremost among her many talents. (Which also include snagging pillowcases with her sharp, sharp claws — you can spot the physical evidence of that one, if you look closely above.)
Judgy Cat truly does judge all the things, but she reserves her harshest scorn for the recorder Mr. 11 just brought home from school. Those of you with kids in the public school system who have also gone through elementary school recorder training will know exactly the sound I’m talking about here; the rest of you will just have to use your imaginations, going by the visual clues provided for you here in BKL’s expression, her body language, and the position of her ears.
And while the other two like to go high, Jeremy Cat is fine staying relatively low. What he most wants in this world is to hang out with High School Guy, and he’s going to be quite happy having him back home full time this summer! He’s also a rare breed of cat who enjoys being carried around like this with his back legs just dangling… but, only by his pal High School Guy.
So, how’s your Caturweek (or cat-free week) going?
That’s about it this week as we continue to wind up all our end of the school year activities, but be sure to tune in next week for an all-new episode of the exciting adventures of the Notorious BKL and Friends. So since that’s us for the week: How’s your own Caturweek (or cat-free week) going?
