Welcome back to Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends: Girl Edition. It’s all about the girl kitties this week — and since it’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve caught up on the ongoing escapades of our dynamic duo, let’s see what they’ve been up to for all this time.
While Gnocchi always gives her a run for her money, the Notorious Bad Kitty Lucy is really the star of this week’s adventures as she reclaims her rightful position at the top of the kitty hierarchy.
First and foremost, BKL is of course keeping herself quite busy in her ongoing training for the circus, with the able assistance of her partner in crime Mr. 11.
Never fear, however: No matter how busy Lucy gets, she’ll always find the time to stake her claim on any laundry basket full of clean & nicely-folded clothes. (Because they’re not done yet, no, not until they’ve been fully covered with cat hair!)
She’ll also carve out a bit of time in her busy schedule to thoroughly disapprove of my recent reading material…
As well as to stake her tea-cozy-ish claim on the new rug I picked up at ALDI this week. (Just $4.99, guys — Love these rugs!)
Although at $4.99 I felt compelled to get an extra one just for Bad Kitty Gnocchi to enjoy. (OK… in reality one’s now in the bathroom and one’s in the laundry/mudroom, and I’m actually really happy with these purchases: The cats just have to stake their claim on anything that comes into this house.)
… or, to be perfectly clear, on anything going out of the house. This packing paper, for instance, was originally folded up very nicely on its way out to the recycle bin. (Check out Ms. Sorry-Not-Sorry here!)
After a long day of staking her claim on various items and areas of the house, however, this is how you can tell it’s been way too cold here this week: You can often find Gnocchi crammed completely under a shelf so that she can get her entire body directly on top of the heater vent. (And what’s with this snow in mid-April business, anyway!?)
So, how’s your Caturweek (or cat-free week) going?
Oh, where’s Jeremy this week? I guess he hasn’t been feeling very photogenic as of late, because when I was looking through my recent cat photos, I had none of him that weren’t blurry or otherwise unusable. So, this week it’s all about the girls. And that’s about it for this week’s Caturday, but be sure to tune in next week for an all-new episode of the exciting adventures of the Notorious BKL and Friends. So since that’s us for the week: How’s your own Caturweek (or cat-free week) going?

I'm with BKG on the heat thing. I hate being hot, but, for some reason this winter I have little cold tolerance either, so, I'm always looking for some way to warm up. As for BKL, it seems you could read what she's thinking by the look on her face. Of course I'm sure you are an expert at that by now.
