Welcome back to Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends: Cats can be jerks edition. It’s Fall, all y’all cool cats & kittens! This particular photo, though, was taken last month before most of the leaves had turned, right after I picked up a new set of curtains for my dining room. I call it: Wistful Curtain Kitty.
What could The Notorious Bad Kitty Lucy wistful about, you may ask? Oh, maybe just the fact that she didn’t completely destroy this plant; I was able to salvage and get it repotted safely this morning.
I’m telling you, cats can be jerks.
Speaking of seeming wistfulness: See how BKL is playing here, like she’s just stopped to smell the flowers? So cute, right? But now, take a closer look at the broken and chewed off stems in the foreground…
Cats, they can be such jerks.
Oh, and: Guess who learned how to open the kitchen cabinets this week? Does they still count as cat treats, if you chew open the bag and make yourself an entire meal out of them? I’m asking for a small, furry friend.
Cats. Can. Be. Jerks!
Little Cat on a Big Chair… isn’t that one of the Laura Ingalls Wilder books? She’s getting rejuvenated in the sunshine to gain energy for her next escapade, I guess.
How’s your Caturday going?
How is your own cat-filled (or cat free) week going? It’s a randomly beautiful summery weekend on this Chicago November day, so we’re headed outside as soon as I finish typing this. Hope you’re taking full advantage of these last pre-winter days, as well.
And — Be sure to tune in next time for the latest in the exciting ongoing Caturday adventures of the Notorious BKL and Friends!

So, I guess the Queen BKL retains her title? I love the look she is giving you from the chair. I guess even the furry kids outgrow having their picture taken.

She is queen of all she surveys! She and her title seamlessly made the transition to our new home.
