Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends: Poser Kitty

Welcome back to Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends, Poser Kitty Edition. Seriously, though, check out Ms. Poser Kitten Gnocchi doing her best to look all pretty and cute and harmless here. What, does she think she’s on a calendar cover or something?

In all honesty, Mr. 11 gave her the fake flower yesterday because he thought she’d “look cute with it.” You can see that he does have a point, but about 30 seconds later she ran off with the thing and tried to eat it, so: Appearances are not always reality, folks!

Except for the brief moments they are! You can’t stage this — I walked in the room to spot this little tableau, and I think we can all just agree: Awww. Kids and cats: They’re just so darn cute when they’re sleeping, right? And just so darn doubly cute when they’re cuddled up together.

Think someone might feel a little left out lately, though? Here’s Gnocchi doing her best impersonation of a leopard lounging on a tree branch … And I think that this just might be the perfect before photo to pair with the nicely groomed, posing with a flower, “after” photo that we just all admired above. (Or we could go with a whole “before my morning coffee” meme…)

No, Bad Kitty Lucy, I don’t mind you pre-covering all of my sweaters with cat hair. You’re right; it’s really my fault for leaving the drawer open, anyway.
