Welcome back to Caturday with the Notorious BKL, BKG, and Jeremy. Do you see that expression on BKL’s face? That’s the look of world-weary moms everywhere, because the tiny BKG has enough kitten energy to wear out even Lucy — And this is Gnocchi’s ongoing kitten version of: “Mom. Mom. Mom. Mom. Mom. Mom. Moooooom! Look at me! Look at me! Loook at meeeeee!”
Why are the pictures so blurry? She won’t. Hold. Still!
But BKL has clearly been taking time out of her busy schedule of sitting in LEGO boxes to teach little BKG some of her baddest bad kitty ways. Yes, this is indeed a kitten climbing her way up a screen door with her sharp little shredd-y claws. It’s been so cool out the last couple of days that I want to have the doors and windows open to let in the air, but she’s making things kind of difficult right now.
She’s very lucky she’s adorable, that’s all I can say. That’s nature’s built-in defense mechanism!
But, eventually even little BKG tires enough to bed down on the school supplies with her honorary Mom. It’s just the essentials for us this year: Post-Its, glue sticks, crayons, and… cats. Kitten harassment aside, these two really have become inseparable.
(Psst — what else did we deem non-essential during our back-to-school shopping adventures? Two words: Flamingo. Suit. Even though it does come with its own matching tie…!)
Cat in a box, cat on a box, cat in a bag…
On a slightly random note: Did you know they now sell Polar seltzer in cans? It’s pretty darn good, and when it’s gone all too soon the box becomes the perfect kitten tunnel. Just in case anyone was wondering. And that’s it for this week’s Caturday adventures — tune in next week for more! 😉

Love pics of BKL, BKG and Jeremy. Has Jeremy come around a bit more or is he still avoiding the BK duo?

He's like a crotchety old man, lol -- he looks at them and you can see him mentally shaking his head and walking away. (He puts up with the kitten occasionally trying to drag him in, but when he gets sick of it he just smacks her down and leaves.)

Wow, they are cute! :D My sister had to put a piece of plexiglass over the bottom of her patio door screen, to stop the cats breaking the screen. They still stand on their back feet and do damage above it sometimes, but it has helped a little. Otherwise she couldn't have the patio door open at all!

I never owned a cat and wonder how such a love fest can happen after hissing and growling? They are so cute!

It's a good question, lol. The love fest is new -- I think maybe it's because she was such a little kitten that BKL was able to establish her dominance and fall into that "mom cat" role. She's not like that with Jeremy at all.

We have two boys about the same age as your little one that we are fostering. So they think three (3) of us (myself, ds and dd) are all mom's and it does get tiring. And those little claws are so very sharp and we have one that snurgles (sucks his paw, sucks people's fingers/ear lobes, etc.)

Where did you find the best school supplies deal?

I bought some at Office Depot, some at Walgreens, and some at Target so far -- I've been posting some of the deals in the Facebook group here, and will post more tomorrow after my newspaper shows up: https://www.facebook.com/groups/hotholidaydeals/
