ALDI Finds for the week of 4/12/23 include plant based foods, protein French toast sticks, Chindi rugs, compost bins, and more. Check out this week’s picks below, and let me know what you want to Find!
April is Earth month, so ALDI and other stores often feature plant-based and other Earth-friendly products. Dairy free, vegan, and vegetarian folks, rejoice: This week’s ad sports a number of plant-based foods. Let’s start our journey over in the freezer section with these Sundae Shoppe non-dairy cashewmilk frozen desserts. A pint of this ice cream alternative will run you $3.49, and you can choose from chocolate brownie, double caramel, or peanut butter chocolate chip.
If you prefer oat-based frozen dairy desserts, look for Earth Grown Vegan non-dairy chocolate chip or chocolate cookie sandwiches, $4.29 a box.
Also in the frozen section, a whole Belmont plant based vegan chocolate or banana cake is $7.99 this week.
And while you’re over there, why not take a minute to look beyond desserts: A 10 oz pack of vegan Earth Grown chickenless fries is priced at $3.99.
Or, you can take a look at these Season’s Choice harvest grain bowls. Each meat free bowl is 10 oz, costs $2.99, and is available in Southwest or Italian varieties.
Moving over to the pantry section, we have boxes of Elevation plant based protein bars. These will run you $7.99 per 5 ct package, and it looks like they all contain 13g protein.
In that same section: Specially Selected cauliflower or chickpea gnocchi is $2.99 per 14.11 oz package.
Lastly, over in the deli/refrigerated section, 8 oz packs of Earth Grown BBQ or sesame ginger tofu cubes are up to $3.59 this time.
Both advertised and unadvertised ALDI prices can vary by store and by region. Here are more top ALDI Finds for the week of 4/12/23. You may also Find some on 4/9/23 (or, 4/10, because Easter) in Sunday ad markets — or if your store tends to put products out early.

It’s a pretty short ad this week, food-wise — hopefully next week’s will have more.
For your snacking pleasure, we do have these baked potato crisps with 75% less fat than their original potato chips.
On the heat-and-eat front — I’ve never tried these frozen pastas, but they look even quicker and easier than boiling your own, I guess.
Or pick up a little frozen meatloaf to have dinner ready to heat & go.
Pizza, of course, is always an option! And this Mediterranean flatbread looks pretty good.
What also looks pretty good? Yes, a BIG bag of BIG shrimp. Yum.
Organic food Finds
Some of the plant-based Finds this week are also organic; see those listed with the vegetarian and vegan Finds above. More organic Finds of food & drink this week include:
- 20 ct Simply Nature fair trade organic tea blends, $3.99
- Barnana organic plantain chips (lime or pink salt), $2.98
- LesserEvil Himalayan gold or “no cheese” cheesiness organic popcorn, $2.98
- Simply Nature organic pesto (Genovese or rosso), $2.99
The organic teas are available in mango pineapple, hibiscus berry, or ginger peach flavors.
At $2.99, the organic pesto is fairly close in price to the conventional they regularly carry (at $2.29 for the same 6.7 oz size).
Thirty-eight ALDI non-food Finds

Basically, gardening and Earth month products this week. I actually have a different design of the recycled flats from last year, and they are soooo comfortable — hopefully they’ll be the same this year, although I don’t like the designs as well.
Speaking of Earth Month: If you’re tired of going through endless baggies for school lunches (and your kids are good about not throwing away reusable containers…), you might want to check out the reusable snack and sandwich bags this week.
Continuing our Earth Day theme, composters are back. If you’re wondering what these look like and their capacity, my store finally put these out — pictured above.
More to support your gardening efforts — this is a decent price for a wooden raised planter!
And this is a decent price for garden soil, too, so stock up while available.
Seasonal food Finds
I only saw a couple of new seasonal products at my local ALDI this week, but thought I’d share that Benton sugar cones are back! It must be getting close to summer… but, anyway, these are up to $1.85 this year. Speaking of summer, look also for Simply Nature organic lemonades: $3.19 per bottle.
