Welcome back! It’s another Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends: Cat-plan-pan edition. As in: When I plan to cook, why is my pan often full of cat hair? Truly, it’s a mystery that someone should investigate one of these days. (Let’s just say: She’s still lucky that she is cute…)
Did your cats get what they wanted for the holidays?
Fellow cat owners, I don’t even need to ask what you got for the holidays this year — because your cats know that they are the only present you’ll ever need. Case in point: Meet the three bad kitties’ new friend Jiji, who even gift wraps himself. (Could he be more considerate?)
The Notorious Bad Kitty Lucy, on the other hand, appears to have figured out how to order exactly what she wants on Amazon. This one was a post-holiday present from BKL to BKL, but apparently you can ship anything in a box these days…
OK, yes, I kid. Her actual favorite gift? This super soft Pendleton blanket I picked up at Costco last month. Although originally purchased with people in mind rather than cats, this has become her resting place of choice lately — if you’re ever looking for BKL, just check for her napping (or, OK: grooming herself) on the blue blanket on the couch.
What could possibly drag her away from the super-soft blanket, though? Yes, that is correct. SUNBEAM. In the game of life, sunbeam trumps blanket, every time.
All jokes aside: What did you get for the holidays, anything good? I bought myself this super cozy cardigan at… Goodwill, of all places, and good old Jeremy cat and I both enjoy cuddling up in it. Blankets and sweaters and all things cozy are the theme lately, as all of a sudden winter is here with a vengeance in Chicago (and, this pretty much sums up our stay at home look).
