Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends: Goofball edition

bad kitty lucy hug

Welcome back to Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends: Goofball edition. It’s kind hard to take a picture of a cat who has decided to lie on you for a full body hug, so excuse the angle — but, isn’t Bad Kitty Lucy just the coziest little goofball here?

Yes. Cats are Goofballs.

Speaking of goofball cats… No, this guy isn’t actually one of my three bad kitties; he’s a rival cat I visited around Valentine’s Day. Not the best attempt at camouflage here. (And yes, the flowers did end up having to move..!) Cats might pretend to be aloof and above it all, but their quirky little goofball personalities inevitably shine through.

Here’s a little game called: Goofball, or savvy? Bad Kitty Gnocchi has staked out a favorite heater vent to help carry her through this ongoing stretch of too much winter all at once. (But I didn’t realize until taking this picture how badly the paint on the baseboard needs touching up, hmm.) She’s all warm and squishy afterwards, too — I recommend hugging a self-warming cat whenever possible.

Goofball. No matter how many cat toys we invest in, the best ones are simply found items. String. Bottle caps. Twist ties. The little plastic rings from milk jugs. Carboard boxes. You’ll note that Bad Kitty Gnocchi actually left her warm vent to check out all of this action, too.

Let’s Laundry, goofball cats

When none of these found items is available, any cat worth his salt can make do with a laundry hamper. Just knock that on over and sit in it proudly… apparently it’s a great game. Goof. Ball.

Not enough dirty laundry to disturb? Well, it must be time to move on to the clean laundry pile, making sure every piece of it spends as little time cat-hair-free as possible.

How’s your Caturday going?

How is your own cat-filled (or cat free) week going? Here, we recently celebrated Middle School Guy’s socially-distant birthday with an at-home coffee bar — and the rest of life has basically been spent shoveling, shoveling, and more shoveling. Spring can’t come soon enough!

So, let’s dream ahead — And, be sure to tune in next time for the latest in the exciting ongoing Caturday adventures of the Notorious BKL and Friends.

Your cats are fabulous. Is there any room for me on that vent? LOL

The only toy our cat likes to play with is Flippity Fish. Other than, that, he is busy ripping up Senior Girl's piano music sheets.

Your cats are so cute! I have 2, an older one and a 3yr. old. Mine like things around the house to play with too. I've bought them a lot of toys and they don't care for any of them except their cat tree. They lay on it all the time and love the scratching posts. So, I'm done buying them cat toys for a while. I am thinking about getting them each a hammock though. I'm pretty sure they'd like them.

Happy Belated Birthday to Middle School Guy!
