Welcome back to Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends: Tic-Tac-Toe Edition. So, in case you were wondering how to tell if it’s actually cold in Chicago, here’s your evidence. I don’t think I’ve ever managed to capture all three cats lying down together before! And just check out the expression on Bad Kitty Lucy’s face. It screams that she knows she’s been busted, but she doesn’t quite know what to do about it.
(I’m really not ready for 20 degrees here myself, and am realizing I need to get some plastic over our old, leaky windows ASAP…)
Keep in mind, though, that this is not the only time I’ve caught BKL canoodling. All three cats seem to share the same weakness for any little throw blankets left lying around! It’s their kitty Kryptonite, really.
Beyond the blanket, BKL is also quite fond of the nice, clean, completely cat-hair-free new jackets for the kids that I just picked up at Costco and laid down on the table. They are now her jackets, claimed in the name of the Queen, in case anyone had any doubt.
Although in her spare time, she will still deign to help Middle School Guy make slime. (He and his friend have some new recipe they are very happy with that involves glue, lotion, and Crayola Model Magic. I find it’s best not to ask.)
Oh and — even when it’s cold, Bad Kitty Gnocchi somehow always manages to find herself a sunbeam! It’s good to be her.
So, how’s your Caturweek (or cat-free week) going?
So, what have you guys been up to this week? We’ve been running around in circles careening into November over here, apparently (how the heck did that happen?), and that’s about it for this week’s Caturday. So since that’s us for now, I’ll leave you with the usual question: How’s your own Caturweek (or cat-free week) going? And.. be sure to tune in for the next episode in the exciting ongoing adventures of the Notorious BKL and Friends!

My week is going great. I look forward to your caturday posts. We have 5 with our newest Leo just added 2 weeks ago. They all get along well (just a little surprised). Not quite as cold here in Bristol, VA. But my daughter lives in Moline, IL. and like you, she's not ready. LOL I do miss it somewhat. Thank you for your posts but especially your caturday's.
