Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends: Birthday Edition

Welcome back to Caturday with the Notorious BKL and Friends: Birthday Edition. Miss Bad Kitten Gnocchi celebrated her first birthday this past week, so I guess that she has now graduated into the next stage of her life as the Bad Kitty Gnocchi. She’s still pretty petite as cats go, though — and still possessed of some of that excess kitten energy. (Not that this is at all evident in the above photo, which pretty much sums up how she chose to spend her birthday this year!)

If you think she’s petite now, though, here’s the throwback collage from when she came home this past July. She’s grown just a little.

For her birthday this year, Gnocchi gained a new enemy. I picked up a clock at Goodwill this week ($2, you guys!), and for some reason she’s inordinately offended by its very presence on her wall. So, she’s been spending quite a bit of time trying either to stare it down, or to bat it onto the floor. So far, the clock seems to be winning…

She’s also pretty offended by the tiny tiger that came in Mr. 11’s Mighty Kids meal at McDonald’s today, but that makes a bit more sense in a territorial sort of way.

Meanwhile, the Notorious Bad Kitty Lucy is the undisputed master of the take-and-bake pizza box. I’m not really sure that’s what they meant by “ultimate meat…”

And remember last week’s unfortunately angled selfie? Well… “Hold my catnip!”

So Bad Kitty Gnocchi says, “Here, let me show you how it’s done!”

That’s about it this week, so let me leave you with a question: Did I make a mistake in NOT purchasing these daisy cat ears at Target?! I’m not really sure where one would wear them, however.
