I am unduly excited by today’s as big as a bread box thrifting find, for just $4.99! Mr. 9 and I stopped into our local Goodwill to see what we could see this afternoon. He’s quite happy with his new-to-him Chicago Bulls t-shirt, but I think my find is better: Check out this awesome bread box — the open door even becomes its own built-in cutting board. Seriously, how cool is that.
Update: MashupDad is smarter than I and found the little half shelf tucked up vertically in the back of the bread box, lol. Now, it’s perfect. 🙂
What cool things have you found at your thrift store lately? I love hearing about people’s serendipitous deals!

I found new men's True Religion (yes they are authentic-I checked) at Savers for 7.99! They're normally $150 and up

I'm always on the lookout for more Fiestaware, and I almost always find random pieces at whatever thrift shop I happen by (Savers, Salvation Army, Goodwill, etc.). I have my favorite colors and pieces on display, but I'll buy any of the other colors to use for parties and bigger gatherings. I'm hosting one of the holidays this year, so I've been picking up extra plates, etc. Depending on how often you entertain, it can be cheaper than using paper plates---and definitely greener and classier! Plus, no need to cry when something gets broken!

We used to have one like that. It holds a lot of bread and I like the flat top where you can pile other things. Great score! :)

Very nice bread box for that kind of money. Poor baby kitty now has to find a way to open it!

It's specifically designed against baby kitty! She is so bad, lol...

I am jealous of your bread box. It's gorgeous. I found once an "antique" meat grinder from 1896. But yours is more practical. Generally I think Goodwill is very overpriced :(
