Check out this news from ALDI — very cool, and you can read the whole story on their blog here.
As part of our commitment to quality, we’re constantly working to improve the nutritional profile of our products – and those products are about to get even better. We have committed to removing certified synthetic colors, partially hydrogenated oils (a source of trans fats) and added MSG from all of our exclusive brand food products. We began this process in 2014, and customers will begin to see these products in stores this fall, with fully updated product lines in stores by the end of 2015.
I’m really liking the direction ALDI has been going and find myself buying more there than I used to — how about you?

I <3 Aldi because I can shop there quickly! I don't have to stare down the aisles trying to decide what brand, price, like the millions of choices and aisles in other stores! Of course the prices are great and the products are very nice for my budget but they also meet my time constraints!

I've been primarily shopping Aldi for years. Not only do they offer foods that meet the needs of my family, I like being able to try new items with the understanding that if I don't like them I can return them for a full refund. They also have many convenience meals that suit the needs of my elderly mother both in size and packaging (no can opener necessary)

I love Aldi. I coupon at Jewel, but do most of my grocery shopping at Aldi. I've enjoyed their baby stuff lately too.

Aldi is getting a really large chunk of my grocery shopping $ every week and quite often all of it. It's certainly not the Aldi of years past! I'm finding a lot more friends & family are shopping there as well and the stigma, that used to be attached to shopping there, is quickly fading.
